SWD supplied the main entrance doors, internal doors, bespoke curved sliding doors and a high security panic room door.Starting with the main entrance door, our client desired a grand entrance to their home and by using the Lattice Grills design with a double door measuring 3m in height was a great way of achieving this. The entrance door was finished in a dark grey metallic RAL finish and given the height of the double doors, handles on backplates were a necessity to give a proportional looking handle on doors of this size.With the internal doors, our client was looking for a traditional panelled door design but with a contemporary twist and so we suggested the R100 door model with flat panels and three stepped beading. Opting for flat panels and stepped beading this is a great way of creating a more modern flare to a traditional panelled door design. Spread out across 4 floors, this project sees a great variance of door sizes with the basement and ground doors being 2.4m in height, the first floor 2.2m in height and the top floor a standard size at 2040mm. The finish of the doors was OPW on oak with all ironmongery being supplied in an antique brass finish. To add to the modern look our client was going for, they selected the Northfield lever on rose from our bespoke handle range. This handle is knurled giving an industrial feel to the handle, all other items such as the thumb turn and key escutcheons were matching and included the knurled effect.With the majority of the doors in hand, SWD were then approached with a request to produce two sets of curved sliding doors. We are very proud to have engineered two sets of entirely bespoke curved sliding doors which create incredible features in our clients home. From fixings to the sliding tracks and curved doors themselves, this was engineered entirely from scratch. On the ground floor, our client wanted two sets of large curved single sliding doors.
