Hampstead, London 001United Kingdom
In a picturesque suburb of North London, we had the pleasure of working on a grand six-bedroom home, transforming the homeowner's design dreams into a beautifully executed reality.
The ground floor doors, towering at 2400mm, were the R101 model finished in our exclusive T-125 stain on oak, a sophisticated grey that adds both warmth and depth. On the upper floors, we achieved a sleek, uniform finish with doors sprayed in an NCS colour, which complemented the crisps light interior scheme perfectly.
The choice of recessed moulded beading and raised & fielded panels imparts a timeless elegance, whilst the three-stepped architrave and skirting throughout the property offers a sense of contemporary flair. A select few doors were fitted with drop-down seals to achieve superior acoustic performance in both bedrooms and bathrooms.
A standout feature is the bespoke study door, designed by our client and inspired by the industrial ‘Crittall’ style, complete with ribbed opaque glazing. By choosing timber over metal, we maintained consistency with the other doors in the home and avoided the cold, impersonal feel that metal could introduce.
Concealed jib doors were integrated into the Boot Room and Study, maintaining an uninterrupted flow throughout the home, whilst sliding doors were supplied with high quality cage systems, featuring touch latch and auto-eject mechanisms for exceptional functionality.
Every detail was meticulously considered, including the bespoke neck design of the Beverley lever from our hardware collection, tied together with matching escutcheons, turn & releases, and locking cylinders in antique brass finishes. Concealed hinges on the communal ground floor doors added a minimalist look, ensuring that every element contributes to the home’s elegant aesthetic.
