SWD 2023 Round Up

As we say farewell to an amazing year, we want to reflect on an incredible journey which has been filled with exciting projects, unique designs, and unforgettable team experiences. At SWD Bespoke, 2023 has been a year of growth, innovation, and strong bonds.

Highlights of 2023

Largest Pocket Door

One of the most pivotal moments has been creating our largest pocket door to date. Working alongside Matthews Rea and EAB Homes, we crafted an impressive sliding door measuring a remarkable 2800mm x 2400mm for a prestigious project on the Wentworth Estate. This endeavour showcased our commitment to pushing boundaries and delivering exceptional solutions to our clients.

Returning Customers

Partnering with I & C Developments for the creation of three distinctive residences in Central London this year was a notable experience. The uniqueness of each property presented an exciting opportunity for us to demonstrate our craftsmanship and versatility in catering to diverse interior aesthetics. One notable instance is the incorporation of contemporary doors with decorative metal inlays in one home, while the others boast a more traditional charm with panelled door styles complemented by large bolection beading. Notably, the finishes varied between projects, with white lacquered doors providing a crisp and modern look to one, and a dark stained walnut finish in the other.

A Statement Liquid Metal Door

Alongside Aleph Studio London, we created a statement entrance hall featuring liquid metal doors in an antique brass colour. This project not only showcased our expertise but also solidified our reputation for delivering doors that go beyond function.

Bespoke Door Designs Unveiled

2023 was a busy year for bespoke designs, working closely with interior designers like Interior Aesthete to create brand new and bespoke door models. For this particular project of theirs, we created a flush door design with decorative grooves which stood out in a grey metallic lacquer against the white high gloss finish on the doors. The glazed version of this door was also a bespoke design, as the lattice work replicated the grooves for a seamless integration between the solid and glass designs. We have more exciting collaborations in store for 2024 to look out for!

PAS24 Door Testing

This year SWD carried out numerous tests on our PAS24 door sets to ensure we have the highest standard of products which are fully certified with high security performance levels. We are proud to say that our doors were able to withstand fire for 43 minutes in a 30-minute test and therefore received an approved document of certification against fire testing.

Beyond the workspace, our team made lasting memories at Royal Ascot, where we enjoyed two amazing days in the sun with clients and colleagues. Sharing these moments with some of our loyal customers has created unforgettable memories, fuelling our anticipation for more fun experiences in the coming year!

As we close the chapter on 2023, we're filled with gratitude for the projects that challenged us, the clients who entrusted us, and the team that made it all possible. Looking ahead, we're eager for what next year holds and can't wait to embark on new adventures, tackle exciting projects, and continue growing together as a team.

Here's to another year of innovation, creativity, and shared successes at SWD!
