Situated in the heart of Hampstead, London, this exquisite six-bedroom residence recently underwent a complete refurbishment, showcasing our bespoke internal doors, front door, and hardware throughout.

The client sought to replace their traditional timber door with a durable steel alternative while preserving the historic charm of the property. This involved replicating the design of the original door and the signature fanlight above, crucial elements in maintaining the home’s exterior character. During the installation process, we ensured the surrounding architrave and canopy remained intact. The old frame was carefully removed and replaced with the new door set, safeguarding the architectural integrity of the entryway. Our detailed production drawings were instrumental in securing approval from the Trust’s Architectural Team.

The fanlight was updated to match the original design but enhanced with triple-glazed security glass. For the new door set, we recreated the two-panel structure of the original and elevated it with our renowned piano black high gloss finish. This striking choice amplified the entrance’s visual appeal, making a bold statement against the white surround.

The carefully selected hardware included a large centre door knob, a round door knocker, and a spyhole—an added convenience requested by the client. The antique brass finish of the hardware seamlessly coordinated with the interior doors we supplied, creating a cohesive and polished look throughout the residence.

The result is a stunning transformation that blends the timeless charm of the original design with the enhanced security and durability of modern materials, crafting an entrance that is both beautiful and resilient.
