As part of this refurbished home in Barnes, SWD supplied a high-security front entrance door that would not only offer security but also deliver a striking architectural statement.

The client selected our Wimbledon door model, a timeless design that brings character to the entrance. The door was crafted in Okoume and finished in the Tosca stain – a brown tone that beautifully complements the home’s external materials while tying in with the internal doors when viewed from inside.

One of the standout features of the entrance is the elegant fanlight above the door, which features decorative oval fretwork – a subtle yet artistic detail that enhances the overall grandeur of the entryway. To ensure both privacy and functionality, the client chose one-way mirrored glass for the fanlight, allowing natural light to flow into the hallway while maintaining complete privacy from the outside.

The ironmongery selected for the front door strikes a perfect balance between simplicity and detail. The client opted for a decorative doorknob and a matching door knocker, both finished in antique brass. The warm metallic tones complement the Mocha-stained Okoume wood beautifully, adding an striking element to the overall design.
