High Gloss Finishes

A high gloss showstopper

Our renowned high gloss finish is a delicate process within itself. Taking up to 24 hours, the door is polished by hand over and over to achieve the glossy finish. Due to the time and craftsmanship that goes into each door, this finish is guaranteed to add a show stopping feature in your home. High gloss finish is known for being super shiny and light reflecting, giving it an almost mirror-like look and brilliant sheen. At a recently completed project in Hemel Hempstead, SWD supplied high gloss door sets in lattice designs and also traditional panelled styles. All doors were supplied with high gloss matching frames and architraves, giving the complete look to the high gloss door sets. One of the features of this beautiful home were the Lattice Geo double doors which lead you into the entrance hall. This lattice model was produced all in black high gloss with transparent glazing in the middle of the lattice design. The double lattice door leading you from the external door into the grand hallway has a spectacular curved head frame which completes the entrance into the home. Mirroring this entrance door is a pocket door in the Lattice Geo model which creates a double grand statement when you walk in. These lattice doors allow natural light to flow through the entrance hallway ensuring it is light and open. To close off the dining room from the kitchen and living room, double R131 sliding doors with a two panel design were installed. Pocket doors give you the option to separate two spaces when needed but you can keep them open when wanted. To finish the ground floor off, another statement feature was included in the entrance hall. We supplied two 2.6 metre lattice screens in black high gloss and a contrasting metallic powder colour on the lattice work. The screens act as a divider between the hallway and dining room whilst keeping the spaces open and inviting. The black high gloss matched with the rest of the doors on the ground floor, but they still were a feature of their own due to the gold metallic finish on the lattice work. The high security front door was our Knightsbridge model in black high gloss with a large statement central door knob in polished nickel. The interior side of the front door was also finished in high gloss to match the other finishes on the ground floor.
